Meeting Minutes –
11 October 2010
Meeting called to order at 1753 hours by President CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti leading the Pledge of Allegiance. The President declared a quorum present. The meeting was held at Cody’s Beef & Bean.
Secretary's Report: CW3R Ron James
The minutes of the September 2010 meeting were presented previously to all members electronically. Motion made by CW4R Harold Lindmood to accept minutes as published, seconded by CW2R John Curtis. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s Report, as of 30 September 2010: CW4R Harold Lindamood
Funds in the Checking Account:
Opening Balance 1 September 2010 $5,671.14
Ending Balance 30 September 2010 $5,681.64
A motion was made by CW3R Michael Turner to accept the Treasurer’s Report, subject to audit, and seconded by CW2R Ted Cogut. The motion passed.
President's Report: CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti
2010 AMM: I will attend 1 November. Reminder, please mail your ballot and proxy.
Apache Drill Competition: Will be held on December 11th. Please confirm your assistance at the November Meeting.
Christmas Party: On 5 December, at 2 PM will be at the Blankschens.
Massing of The Colors: Is scheduled for 7 November, FWHS, JROTC will carry our Colors.
Vice-President's Report: CW2R John Curtis
Current membership: 35
MIAP: Nothing new to report, everything is going smooth. Emailed Bob Day, no further information on Bisbee, AZ at this time.
The President re-opened nominations from the floor for the offices of President and Vice President. There being no further nominations the President closed the nominations for office of President and Vice President. Those nominated were CW2R Lance Dickinson as President and CW2R John Curtis as Vice President. There being no further nominations, the Secretary was directed to cast one ballot and on vote for each. President-Elect Dickinson asked CW3R Michael Turner to serve as Secretary, and CW4R Harold Lindamood to serve as Treasurer. Both accepted the appointments.
CW2R Lance Dickinson reported on – Re: 501c(3), obtained the application book with a checklist. CW3R Ron James provided copies of the approval for Flowing Wells HS, JROTC’s 501c(3) application..
Nancy James, from Casa de la Luz Hospice, briefed the members about their decision to provide a blanket and letter in recognition of Vets that are on Casa de la Luz Hospice Service. She asked if any members would be interested in becoming volunteers to present the blankets, both CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti , and CW5R Lance Dickinson indicated they would be willing. CW3R Al Price and CW4R Harold Lindamood voiced an interest at a previous meeting.
Two members of the Hospice Veterans Partnership Program were introduced. Pat Williams and Stacy Thureson, both veterans and employees of Casa de la Luz Hospice, provided an overview of the presentation that Casa de la Luz provides for the veterans on their hospice service. They also brought one of the blankets, printed with branch insignia, for members to see. NOTE: Both CW2R John Curtis and CW2R Lance Dickinson attended the latest internal Casa de la Luz HVP update meeting. A mock Casa de la Luz HVP presentation was performed.
Change in Meeting Location: Members present were provided with the menu from the Metropolitan Grill, American Kitchen, and asked if they would like to try meeting there instead of Michelangelo’s Restorante Italiano. All agreed and the November meeting will be held there.
Challenge Coins: CW3R Ron James passed around a challenge coin that he asked us to think about creating as a fund raiser.

There being no further business, CW3R Gary Huggins made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by CW3R Michael Turner. Motion passed at 1908 hours.
The next meeting of the Chapter will be held at Metropolitan Grill, American Kitchen, 7892 N. Oracle Road, at 1800 hours on 8 November. Hope to see you there.
