Meeting Minutes –
10 October 2011
Meeting called to order at 1800 hours by CW5 Vincent Baiocchetti. The members rendered the Pledge of Allegiance. The Chair declared a quorum present. The meeting was held at Cody’s Beef ‘n’ Beans Restaurant.
The minutes of the September 2011 meeting were presented previously to all members electronically. No changes or objections were offered. Motion to accept the minutes as presented was made by CW3R Price and seconded by CW3R Blanckschen. The motion passed.

Checking Account Balance $3,815.70
A motion was made by CW3R Art Schmid to accept the Treasurer’s Report subject to audit and seconded by CW3R Gary Huggins. The motion passed.
1. Nomination of Officers:
In accordance with the By-Laws, the Chair called for anymore nominations for the office of President. Hearing none “Nominations for President” was closed.
The Chair called for nominations for the office of Vice President. Hearing none, “Nominations for Vice President was closed.
There being no other nominees for the positions of President and Vice President the Secretary was directed to enter one vote for the nominees.

2. Chapter’s 10th Year Anniversary Dinner:
Progress on the anniversary dinner was reviewed. The group spent the remainder of the meeting folding letters, affixing labels to the envelopes, stuffing envelopes, etc.
It was pointed out that with the former Chief of Staff of the Army, General Wickham, coming as our speaker, it was important to have a good representation at the dinner.
Letters will be sent out to all Warrants Officers present and past, and known Warrant Officers that have not been members. Also invitation letters will be sent to the Assistant Adjutant General for Arizona, the Command Chief Warrant Officer for the State, the present WAATS Commander, and two former WAATS Commanders.
3. Chapter Non-profit Status:
A call was received by Mrs. Mallone of the IRS regarding our application for a501c(3) designation. She said that she had NOT received the change that was faxed on September 12th. The material was resent that day and she suggested calling a week later to verify that the material had been received.
1. Paying of the bills:
John Curtis $81.53 - Anniversary Dinner.
Vincent Baiocchetti $116.57 - Anniversary Dinner.
Michael Turner - $272.42 – Website Expenses
Motion made by CW3R Price seconded by CW3R Schmid to pay the bill. Motion passed.
3. CW3R James announced that due to a variety of reasons at school, the annual Apache
Drill Competition has been cancelled for this year.
4. It was suggested that General Wickham be approached by the President to see if he would be willing to swear-in the new officers.
5. CW4R Ozier announced that the Massing of the Colors and Service Remembrance hosted by the Catalina Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011, 1300 hours at the Woman’s Club located at 6425 E. Belleview, Tucson.
As we have done in the past, the JROTC from Flowing Wells High Schools will participate under the direction of CW3R Ronald James.
6. CW4R Ozier moved that the General Wickham’s and his wife’s meals be paid for by the Chapter. Seconded by CW3R Schmid. Motion passed.
CW4R Ozier made a motion for adjournment, seconded by CW3R Price. Motion passed at 1912 hours.
Our next meeting will be at 1800 hours on November 14 at the Metropolitan Grill, at the corner of N. Oracle and McGee Roads.
