Meeting Minutes –

 

14 March 2011

 

Meeting called to order: at 1801 hours with the Treasurer, CW4R Harold Lindamood, leading the Pledge of Allegiance.  The Secretary declared a quorum present.  President CW2R Lance Dickinson could not make tonight’s meeting.  The meeting was held at Metropolitan Grill American Kitchen.

 

Secretary's Report:  CW3R Michael Turner

The minutes of the January 2011 meeting were presented previously to all members electronically, or we thought.  It appears that none of the members received the electronic version of the minutes.  The Secretary proceeded to read the minutes. A was motion made by CW3R Ron James to accept the minutes as published, seconded by CW3R Gary Huggins.   The motion passed.

 

Treasurer’s Report, as of 28 February 2011:  CW4R Harold Lindamood

Funds in the Checking Account:

            Opening Balance                       1 February 2011                   $4739.37

            Ending Balance                       28 February 2011                    $4995.16

 

A motion was made by CW3R Ron James to accept the Treasurer’s Report, subject to audit, and seconded by CW3R Al Price. The motion passed.

 

President's Report:  CW2R Lance Dickinson

 

President CW2R Lance Dickinson could not make tonight’s meeting.

 

Vice-President's Report:  CW2R John Curtis

 

The Vice President was not able to attend tonight’s meeting.

 

Unfinished Business:   

10th Annual Warrant Officer Golf Tournament: 75 Letters requesting sponsorship donations were mailed out on 17 February 2011.  So far, we have received back 16 affirmative responses, which is not a very good response.  A list of the donations to date is attached to the official minutes packet for February 2011.

 

Fort Lowell-Apache Chapter, USAWOA, ROTC Medal: CW3R Ron James reported that the vendor for the medals has stated that the molds for our medals need to be replaced.  The vendor will split the cost of the new medals and include the fee in the overall invoice.  The total cost for the 400 medals will be $3000.

For The Good of the Order:  .

Fort Lowell-Apache Chapter 10th Anniversary Dinner and Dance: CW5R Vincent Baiocchetti reminded the members that we had previously agreed in principal to have a formal dinner and dance to celebrate the Chapters’ 10th Anniversary as a USAWOA chapter.  We need to start planning now for the occasion.

 

Chapter Member Birthdays / Anniversary’s: CW4R Robert Ozier, 21 March.

 

Adjournment:

There being no further business, CW3R Ron James made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by CW3R Gary Huggins.  The motion passed at 1852 hours.

 

The next meeting of the Fort Lowell-Apache Chapter of the USAWOA will be held at Cody’s Beef and Beans on Monday, 11 April 2011.
